Live Collision is an annual curated international festival of Live Art, and Ireland’s first independent year-round Creative Producer + Art Director working with exceptional artists across and between art-forms. Live Collision carves a space to redefine the ways artists can create, engage & collide through live performance & digital platforms, and generate fresh new experiences for audiences.

Founded in 2009 by Lynnette Moran, Live Collision’s vision is to impact and shift the cultural landscape towards new boundaries and dialogues within live performance aesthetics.

“In 2009 I returned to live and work in Dublin, having been based in London for nearly nine years where I was grounded in experimental theatre, live art performance making and digital media. I created Live Collision as a way to have an active dialogue with the city and the cultural terrain in Ireland. Live Collision became the mechanism whereby I could continue to work with my established networks of artists, producers, commissioners and presenters while at the same time locating new exciting artists and networks in Ireland. Live Collision festival became the public moment where those two worlds could collide in a celebration of experimental performance works, artist development and interdisciplinary collaborations. Offering a critical dialogue and articulation around ways of making and seeing ground-breaking performance work.”

This happens in the following ways:

  • Generating platforms that speak to the current context be it social, political and/or cultural
  • Creating bold provocations and frameworks for the presentation of live performance work
  • Supporting and developing artists working across & between disciplines at all stages of their career
  • Acting as a conduit between artists, audiences and the cultural sector both nationally and internationally
  • Responding to the creative ambitions of artists and applying expertise to support the realisation of those ideas
  • Offering a supportive space for artistic experiment and risk-taking
  • Being truly collaborative; sharing knowledge, creative intelligence, resources and opening up partnerships and networks
  • Identifying and reflecting the changing world we live in through critical dialogues; leading creative responses and propositions both with artists and audiences alike.
