an exchange with Massive Owl

When the funds have gone,
And the Liffey is dark,
And the festival is the only light you can trust.
No I won’t be afraid.
Oh I won’t be afraid.
Just as long as you stand, stand with us!

Massive Owl are inviting three Dublin-based artists/companies to join them as Artists In Residence at this year’s Live Collision International Festival. Alongside seeing the work and joining in the ongoing conversations and dialogues surrounding the festival, each artist/company will be offered a moment of exchange with Massive Owl, which will be shaped by them and the company prior to the festival.

The artists will then be invited to attend and offer feedback on a work-in-progress sharing of Massive Owl’s latest performance in development: Castle Rock. This sharing will be the result of a week long Live Collision residency at Fringe LAB following the festival.

Stand With Us is an artist development programme for emerging and early career performance makers designed to generate dialogue, collaboration and professional development. Massive Owl are a Bristol based performance company who make work that is minimalistic, participatory and inherently collaborative. They are Jenny Duffy, Sam Powell and Danny Prosser. Their last show: We Used To Wait was presented as part of Live Collision International Festival 2013.

Stand With Us is supported by Live Collision and the British Council (Ireland).

So Dublin, Dublin!
Stand with us, oh stand with us
Oh stand, stand with us
STAND WITH US!
